What is our mission?
Enid United's mission is to live and share the Gospel of Jesus Christ in Enid and Garfield County as a community of believers.
What do we believe about the Bible?
The Bible is the inspired Word of God. It is complete and infallible. It provides all instruction needed for the Christian life and is the most literal voice of God available to us. (Psalm 119:105, Proverbs 30:5, Matthew 24:35, 2 Timothy 3:16)
What do we believe about God?
He is the maker of all things and reigns supreme over His creation. He knows the end from the beginning and there is nothing that is hidden from his sight. He is present throughout creation. He manifest Himself in the person of Jesus Christ that through Him the world might obtain salvation. (Psalm 115:3, Psalm 139, Jeremiah 32:17, Zephaniah 3:17, Acts 2:23, Hebrews 4:12-13, 1 John 3:20)
What do we believe about Jesus Christ?
Jesus Christ is God Incarnate. He lived and ministered before being crucified, dying, and raising bodily after three days. Through His ministry, death, burial, and resurrection, salvation has been made available to all men. (Isaiah 9:6-7, Isaiah 53:4, John 1:1-2, 17, John 8:58, John 10:30, Colossians 1:15-18, Philippians 2:6-8, Hebrews 12:2, 1 Peter 2:24)
What do we believe about Salvation?
Salvation consists of deliverance from all sin and unrighteousness through the blood of Jesus Christ. The New Testament experience of salvation includes repentance from sin, water baptism in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and the baptism of the Holy Ghost. It empowers the believer to live a holy, separated life that is pleasing to God. (Matthew 7:21, John 1:23-13, John 14:6, Acts 2:38-41, Romans 6:23, Philippians 2:12-13, 1 Peter 1:8-9)
What do we believe about Sin?
Sin is the transgression of the law of God. The wages of sin is eternal death to all those who refuse to accept salvation as set forth in the Word of God. (Romans 3:23, James 4:17, 1 John 3:4)
What do we believe about Water Baptism?
Baptism is the spiritual joining with Christ in His death and burial. Through baptism, our sins are forgiven and we enter into a covenant relationship with God. Baptism is the God ordained method of entering into the Church. Baptism should be done by immersion in the Name of Jesus Christ. (Matthew 28:19, Mark 16:16, Acts 2:38, Acts 8:16, Acts 10:48, Acts 19:51, Romans 6:3-4, Galatians 3:27, Colossians 2:11-14, 1 Peter 3:21)
What do we believe about the Baptism of the Holy Ghost?
Baptism of the Holy Ghost is being born of the Spirit as Christ instructed Nicodemus. This spiritual baptism is the source off all joy and power in the believers life and walk. Being filled with the Holy Spirit is proven by the initial physical evidence of speaking in tongues and ultimately by the production of the the Fruit of the Spirit in one's life. (Joel 2:28, John 3:1-8, Acts 2:4, Acts 10:46, Acts 19:6)
What do we believe about the Gifts of the Spirit?
The Gifts of the Spirit are still in operation to this day. Scripture tells us that the gifts were in regular operation in the New Testament and we still believe in and see the same today. The Gifts were given for the edification of the body and the spreading of the Gospel. The Gifts are not limited to the leaders or ministers of the Church, but to all Spirit-filled believers as He wills. (Romans 12:4-8, 1 Corinthians 12:1-11, 1 Corinthians 14:1-5, 2 Timothy 1:6-7, 1 Peter 4:10-11)
What do we believe about Second Coming of Jesus Christ?
Jesus Christ is coming back to earth in bodily form, just as He went away. He will catch away a His Bride, the Church, who have accepted redemption through His blood, by birth of water and of the Spirit, and who are found faithful when He comes. He will judge the living and the dead. The faithful He will usher into Paradise and the wicked He will cast into Hell forever. (Matthew 24:36–44, Luke 21:25–28, John 5:28–29, John 14:1–3, Acts 1:11, 1 Thessalonians 4:16–17, Hebrews 9:27–28, Revelation 1:7)
